For parents and guardians
This page brings together, for parents, guardians, children, and adolescents, the risks of the game and the safety measures we adopt, including those concerning privacy, as required by the ECA Digital (Lei 15.211/2025, art. 16). It does not replace the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy.
1. What PowPow is
PowPow is a real-time online game of little monsters at war, played in a browser, in the Android and iPhone apps, on Telegram, and on Discord. It is rated for ages 14 and up: cartoon violence, no blood. It is free, with no ads and no loot boxes: the store does not sell anything with a random outcome, and we do not use anyone's data for advertising profiling.
2. How the game protects players
- Guest account: you can play without an email address. Guests have no free-text chat or voice chat (only preset phrases), cannot make purchases, have no friends, and cannot join a clan.
- Private conversations only between friends, with the same automatic filter used in chat, which blocks profanity, links, phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, and requests for login codes.
- Voice off by default: voice chat turns on only when the player chooses, lets the player talk only to their own squad during the match, and is never recorded.
- Settings → Interaction: the player chooses who can invite them to play (No one, Friends only, or Friends and people I approve) and whether to accept group requests.
- Block and report: players can block and report another player, including for scams, grooming, requests for personal data, or appearing to be underage. In serious cases, the conversation between the two accounts becomes evidence, and the accounts are blocked from interacting with each other. The player who filed the report is informed of the outcome.
3. Age
We only ask for a date of birth when a feature depends on age (trading in the World or making purchases with Telegram Stars), and we only store the month and year. When the account holder's age is known because it was provided in the game or by the device's app store:
- an account belonging to someone under 14 plays as a guest, without chat, friends, a clan, invitations, or purchases;
- an account belonging to someone aged 14 to 17 plays without voice chat or trading and with the protections under Settings → Interaction locked (only friends can invite them to play, and the party stays closed), and only receives friend requests from people who already play with them in the clan or party.
If the account's age range is incorrect, the parent or legal guardian can ask support to correct it. Age information that provides greater protection takes effect immediately; a protection can only be removed through support.
4. Money and trading
Minors do not trade, do not receive tradable items, and must not pay anyone anything outside the game.
- Coins can only be purchased through the Apple and Google stores, with their parental controls, and, in the Telegram Mini App, with Telegram Stars, only for those over 18 years of age.
- PowPow never asks for payment through chat, messages, or external links: every purchase takes place in the in-game store, with the price shown beforehand. Anyone asking for money or a login code is a scammer: report them.
- When trading in the World becomes available, it will be limited to those over 18 years of age, with a trading account, an authenticator, and a confirmed email address. Purchased coins and items never transfer from one account to another.
- PowPow does not participate in transactions made outside the game and does not return anything handed over in those transactions.
5. Supervision
Currently, the parent or legal guardian monitors activity through the account's e-mail address, which receives login codes and notices of logins on new devices, and through parental controls in the Apple and Google stores, which limit purchases and downloads. The following features are being prepared: linking the adolescent's account to the parent or legal guardian's account, with a dedicated dashboard, a daily playtime limit, and purchase approval by the parent or legal guardian. In the meantime, accounts known to belong to minors already play with the protections in section 3.
6. Delete your account
You can delete your account at any time within the game under Profile → Delete my account. What disappears immediately and what is kept for a specified period are described in the Privacy Policy. If you cannot access your account, write to support.
7. Contact us
Questions, requests about your child's data, and reports: [email protected]. In the event of a crime against a child or adolescent, also contact the Polícia Federal or Disque 100. The summary of the game's impact assessment for children and adolescents is available at Impact assessment.
